Course Objectives

The student, upon completion of this course, should be able to:

  • Define and identify feedstocks for biofuels and bioproducts in a biobased economy
  • Identify the effect of agroclimatic conditions and chemical composition of feedstock on bioprocessing technologies
  • Assess potential feedstocks based on technological and economic parameters
  • estimate sustainability of feedstock production and it's impact on socio-economic parameters
