The Biological & Ecological Engineering Department has ongoing research in three main areas: 1) Biological Engineering, 2) Ecological Engineering and 3) Water Resource Engineering. Specific areas are described below:
This research area applies principles of biologial sciences to the development of engineering processes and devices. Core areas of activites include bioprocessing and biofuels development.
This research area applys principles of ecosystems science to the design and analysis of a wide range of processes and activities.
This research area deals with engineering aspects of water resources.
